No matter what I try, I cannot get I-Tunes to come up as an option on the default list. I then do a search for I-Tunes in the app store, it says it's installed, but won't let me do anything from that screen other than close and go back to the default list or to launch I-Tunes (tried this option and all it did was open I-Tunes). When the pop-up menu appears, click Windows Media Player, as shown here. In the right pane’s Music Player section, click the Music app. The right pane lists the apps and programs currently assigned to open your email, music, videos, and other items. I have tried clicking on the only other option - being to choose from the App Store, which returns a variety of other programs to choose from, none of which is I-Tunes. When the Settings app appears, click the System icon and then click Default Apps. While this worked for changing my music files default back, Windows 10 does not give me the option to choose I-Tunes for video default (it's simply not on the menu of choices). I have tried to change my default apps every way I know - by the front Default Apps screen, by choosing default apps by file type, by set defaults by app.Įach time it takes me back to the point where I can change the app by choosing another program from the selection Windows 10 gives me.

A recent update, however, changed my default video player to "Films & TV". I have Windows 10 and have always used I-Tunes as my default media player for both music and videos.
